In summer I never stay in Badajoz, because there aren´t any beaches and it´is very hot. I go to the summer campus with my friends,it is very funny. In summer it is the fair of Badajoz and there are many people. I go to the beach with my mum, and before that I go with my dad. I go to Cadiz or Huelva with my mum. I go to Algarve in Portugal with my dad.
I would like to go to Rivera Maya in summer because there are beatiful beaches but also,I´d like to go to Washington DC or New York because the big cities are very baeutiful . I would buy much chocolate and eat very much.

On holiday I love going to foreign countries because I love different cultures and monuments.

I hate travelling too long by car because it is very boring but I travel to the beach and my village by car.

In summer I usually go to the beach with my parents and my sister because we love going to the beach. Last summer, I went to London with my family. It's very beautiful and I practised my
English.

I have just gone to Tenerife with my class, it was a school trip, and we had a good time.

Next summer, I would like to travel to Sidney, because I love this city. I would like to visit the Opera in Sidney because it's very big and very beautiful, The Royal Botanical Gardens, because my parents love plants and me too; however, my sister hates plants.

Before, I would like to visit the Sidney tower and the Hyde Park because it's a beautiful park and it's very big. The Park has kangaroos and my sister and I love them.

I would liket to see the Queen Victoria building because in Sidney it's a very important monument, and I'd like to visit the Sidney Aquarium as I love sea animals.

I would go diving in the the sea since swimming with the sea animals is very funny.

When I stay in Badajoz, I meet my friends every day and we go to the swimming pool and play games in the park.

I'd like to travel to the beach with my friends but it's impossible.

On holidays, I have never gone to the beach because I hate it. In summer I stay in Badajoz for a month, 15 days in Cácers with my grandmother, 10 days in Salamanca, and 15 days in my village with my grandparents.

The last week of the summer I go to a fairground with my family.

On holidays I like reading a book, listening to music and playing the guitar or the piano.

My ideal holidays are going to the country to ride a horse, play with my dogs and go to the fairground because I love fairgrounds. If I could go anywhere in the world, I would like to go to Paris because in Paris there is a very big fairground and I would like to go up to the Eiffel Tower. I think French is a very beautiful language.

My perfect holidays would be going to a Caribian country with my parents and my friends.
In a Caribian country we would practice a lot of sports, for example adventure sports, with my friends. Also, I would enjoy in the beach. And with my parents I would go to beach and I´d go to the centre of the city with them.

A country that I would like to visit

I like trips and I have been abroad. I have been to some Greek islands, and they were so beautiful. I have been to France specifically in Disneyland and it was the best trip in my life.

I would like to visit many countries. My dream is to go round the world. I would like to start from Argentina, because I've heard from my friends that Argentina is very beautiful and an interesting country. I've also seen movies and series about that country and from the first moment I have adored this country.

I know one person from Argentina and she is very good and their traditional food is delicious. In summer they do a lot of festivals and parties. Dancing and music are their life.

I think it is possible to visit this country when I grow up. I will visit it with my friends, I hope so !!!

My favourite sport is dance. I like all types of dance. I attended eight years of classic and modern dance, but I want to try a new dance and I think I will do Latin American dances, because I like them a lot. Last summer I did couple dancing for two months in an afternoon course at the seaside and I had a very good time!! It was a wonderful experience, also because I had the possibility to meet some stars of this field, such as Umberto Gaudino, Raimondo Todaro and Stefano di Filippo, who won the world championship in 2008. I watched them carefully while they were dancing on the stage during a performance of theirs and I dreamed with them: I hope to become a good dancer, but I have no illusions. The most important thing is to devote oneself completely!

"Pink" Football!

My favourite sport is football. I have loved it since I was five years old. I like watching matches on TV and my favourite team is Inter! I think it is the best team in Italy and it has a lot of good players.
I play football in a team called "Pink" (because in it there are only girls...!). We train twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays. We take part in a tournament every year. This year we are in a good position in the table, but not first, like Inter!
Anyway, it doesn't matter, because I enjoy myself very much playing football!

I haven't got a favourite sport, but when I have free time I go to the gym and to the swimming pool. I like swimming because I relax. If I could I'd stay in the water all day! In fact, I go to the swimming pool or to the gym when I've had a bad day, because then I feel better.
I go there about 3 times a week. I usually prefer going on Saturday afternoons, before going out with my friends. Anyway, I think swimming is more interesting and relaxing than working out in the gym.

My favourite sport is ice-skating. This sport is very interesting for me but I have never even walked on the ice rink. The most popular Italian figure ice-skater is Carolina Kostner. She was born in Bolzano on 8th February 1987 and now she lives in Oberstdorf, Germany, where she studies and prepares for the competitions.
Carolina has participated in several competitions, which have made her famous; in the year 2001, in fact, she won the Italian Junior Championship and many other competitions followed, which brought her to be named by the president of Coni standard-bearer of the Italian team, on 22nd November 2005.
Obviously she has made some mistakes during her competitions; however, for me she remains the best ice-skater.

My favourite sport is dance. I’ve been practicing it since I was 4 years old, so for 11 years. I love dancing, it is a way to relax, to think, to reflect and it is a way to express what I don't succeed in saying with words. I have always loved it since I was a child. When I dance I don’t think about anything else, it is as if the problems that I have at that time magically faded away. Dancing with these feelings is a wonderful thing. I do classical, modern, contemporary, jazz dance, tap-dancing and hip-hop and these various types of dance are all splendid, each in its way, and each of them allows me to feel a different feeling while I am dancing. In short, dance for me is a sport indeed, but it is especially a performing art. The people who don’t practice it don’t know what happens inside you when you dance.

I love swimming. I swim in Badajoz swimming club . I train five days a week in swimming pool. I go to the competition of swimming once or twice a month with my friends of the club. I swim crawl styles and batterfly better ,I am a little bad at backstroke and breathstroke .
My favourite swimmer is Aschwin Wildeboer. he was born in Holand and his parents come to spain. He swims better at back style and he has a mark of 42,20 second in 100m back, it is a world record. He won the first golden medal for Spain in European Competition.

Willing to embellish your continuous presence on our blog, we came to the thought of choosing dogs for virtual prizes!!!!

Mikaela from Cyprus wins the famous Chihuahua with 15 comments on her post! Chihuahua is a very small-sized dog with a proportionately robust build and distinctive facial features. Their body is stout and just longer than it is tall, and they have straight limbs. They have a sickle-shaped tail that curls over the dog’s back or off to one side. They have an apple-shaped head with a short, tapered, pointy muzzle. Their large eyes are round, dark, and can sometimes be ruby or luminously-colored. They have large, triangular-shaped, erect ears that are a distinguishing characteristic of this breed. Chihuahua puppies have a soft spot on the top of their skull that closes as they become adults. There is a long-haired variety of Chihuahua, but the most common variety is the short-haired Chihuahua.

Second prize (14 comments on her post) goes to Maria from Spain and it is a Bulldog. Bulldogs have comparatively small statures, they are stout, exceptionally sturdy, and widely built. They have muscular legs that are set squarely and contribute to the breed’s “waddle”. Their heads are thick and very large-sized with cheeks that reach the sides of their eyes. The breed’s back is level and the ribs are well-sprung. Their limbs are finely boned. Forelegs of this breed are straight, with their pastern joints devoid of any substantial bend. Labrador Retriever is a strong, medium-sized dog with an athletic, well-balanced appearance. They are a short-coupled breed with a body that is the same or just longer than it is tall. Their back is strong, their topline is level, and their wide, strong loin denotes flexibility. They have a comparatively long neck that is muscular and rises in an arch from the shoulders. Their underbelly is almost straight, with little to no tuck-up being present in adult specimens. Forequarters of this breed are well-muscled, balanced, and sturdy. They have shoulders that are well laid-back and form a 90 degree angle with the upper arm. In addition to enhancing mobility of the dog’s forelegs, this angle allows the dog to achieve a strong forward reach.

Second prize is a Pomeranian and this goes to Marianna from Cyprus (21 comments). The Pomeranian is a compact toy dog with a short-backed build and an alert, intelligent expression. The breed is curious and buoyant, and every move they make is sound and coordinated. Their medium-boned body is slightly taller than it is long, and the length of their limbs is well in proportion to the rest of the frame. They have a short neck that is set well into the shoulders to permit a high head carriage. Their top line is level and their ribs are well-developed. The distinctive tail lies flat and straight against the back. Their moderately muscled shoulders are sufficiently setback to provide support to their neck and allow their head to be carried proudly.

The American Cocker Spaniel is the smallest breed of sporting spaniels. They have a compact body with a short back and a gently sloping topline. Their legs are stout, straight, and well-boned. American Cocker Spaniels have a defined, round head with an abrupt stop and a square jaw. Their friendly eyes are round, dark, and close-set, and their strong teeth meet in a scissors bite. Depending on the colour of coat, an American Cocker Spaniel could have a brown or black nose. American Cocker Spaniels have a beautifully soft, lush, silky, feathered coat. My favourite sports are surfing, sailing, windsurfing and SUP (Stand Up Paddle), and in general all extreme sports. SUP is not as popular as the other sports; it is a mix of surfing and kayak, you have a big surfboard (the smallest one is 8.5 feet long and the biggest is 13.5 feet) and a long paddle, you must surf or go on a long distance race. In this sport I'm the Italian Juniores Champion, I won this title in Sardinia, on San Teodoro Coast (beautiful place!). This is a good sport because you do aerobic exercise, and you can do it every day, because the board is compatible with all the sea conditions. It is also great fun because you do it with a friend or with lots of friends!

My favourite sport is called badminton. It’s similar to tennis, but the ball is smaller. It has a kind of fan in the bottom and it’s called “volàno”.

His father told her that he would go and meet Costas. Costas was excited. When the day of the races came, Costas was waiting for his father to come but he didn’t run because he was crying. Some hobbies are good for our health. Some of these hobbies are sports like basketball, volleyball and football. Football is the most famous sport especially among boys. Girls like watching football too, but they do this because they like the footballers and they don't really mind about the score. At school, we do sports, at our lesson of P.E. (Physical Education). We, also, learn field, race-courses and others. But students aren't keen on these sports only. In their free time they like cycling and going to the gym. Girls also like going to dance lessons and boys usually go to football practises after school. These help them keep fit and enjoy their free time!! Teenagers love sports. At weekends they go for ice-skating something that they are really mad about. Some mothers tell that if their children want to keep fit they can help with the housework! There are many things to do if you want to improve your health. The important is to make exercise a habit you can't live without!

Christmas recipe from Greece

Ingredients
• 1 cup margarine
• 1/2 cup white sugar
• 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
• 1 egg
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
• 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 teaspoon red food coloring
• 1/2 cup peppermint candy canes, crushed
• 1/2 cup white sugar for decoration

Directions
1. In a large bowl, cream together the margarine, white sugar and confectioners' sugar. Beat in the egg, vanilla and peppermint extracts. Combine the flour and salt; stir into the creamed mixture until well blended. Cover or wrap dough and chill for at least one hour.
2. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets. Divide dough into halves. Color one half red by mixing in the food color. Roll a small amount of each dough into a 2 inch long worm. Roll them together in a twisted rope and curve the end like a cane. Place onto prepared cookie sheets.
3. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. In a small bowl, mix together the crushed candy cane and remaining white sugar. Roll hot cookies in the sugar mixture.

· 1 tablespoon ouzo
· 450g unsalted butter
· 2 egg yolks
· 175g sugar
· 2 teaspoons cinnamon
· 1 teaspoon baking powder
· 1/2 cup ground almonds or walnuts
· icing sugar
Directions:
1. Sift flour with baking powder twice.
2. Cream butter and sugar add ouzo, vanilla egg yolks, nuts, and cinnamon.
3. Blend in flour to make soft but firm dough.
4. Break off small pieces, pat into biscuit shape, place on floured baking tray. Insert a clove in
each biscuit and bake at 180 degrees calcium for 20 mins.
5. While still hot, sprinkle biscuits with icing sugar.
6. Each shortbread should be stuck with one clove to represent the three wise men who brought
spices to the Christ child.

Friday was last day for us in this year and for this reason we celebrate the birth of Son of Good and we sing carols in our school in our eTwinning project .

Our bishop Lucian Mic from Caransebes Diocese was Santa Claus for students from Special School Caransebes and he came with a group of priests from Caransebes and they sing also beautiful carols .

In the villages of Platanias and Sitagroi Dramas prefecture found the custom of Momogeron, which comes from the Pontian refugees. The life of states that Santa Barbara was a beautiful girl who lived in the city of Nikomidia in Asia Minor (now Izmit) in Roman Emperor Maximilian. In Badajoz Christmas is a typical tradition, where we have 2 weeks holiday. Many times we go on trips to the snow.
We decorate the city with Christmas lights, also we gives gifts and enjoy them.
On New Year's Eve, nearly all the families meet and enjoy the new year. It is great fun, I hope you too will enjoy the Christmas and enjoy as we do.

The Christmas in Spain is especial. First is the Christmas eve on 24th of December, this night brings us many presents.
At Christmas they put the Christmas’s tree and the Belen’s crib. The 25th of December is Christma’s day.
In 31th of December is New Year eve. At midnight they eat twelve grape to celebrate the New Year.
Several days later, there is a procession of the Three Wise Men when I meet friends.
In the night of 5th to 6th of January the Three Wise Men bring us presents too.
The importance of the Christmas is what we are with the family.
